As a boudoir photographer, one of the most common questions I get is "what is the best outfit to wear for my session?"
People are often surprised when my initial answer isn't just a specific style or brand of lingerie. The best outfit you can wear for a boudoir session is the one that makes you feel confident and beautiful. Like most things in life, this can manifest in so many different ways!
For some women, it's wearing a three piece lingerie set with stockings and heels. For others, that wouldn't feel authentic to them so they might opt for a cute sweater and boy-shorts. It really is up to you how you feel sexiest and I can't tell you what that is!
In spite of this truth, I do still have opinions of what I like to get out of my photography as a boudoir photographer in Fort Worth. My personal preferences are definitely involved a bit, so do keep that in mind as you read through these.
1. Bodysuits - I truly feel that a good bodysuit can flatter any body. You can find them with or without: cup support, high rise leg, and tummy control. They allow for literally ANY pose I could think to put you in, and they're so chic. Some of my favorite brands for bodysuits are Pinsy, and The Bradshaw Collection.
2. Two and three piece sets - We're talking bra, panty, and garter (or not). These are just so classic. One of the best things about this is that you are able to customize the sizing on the top and bottom. Plus, it's impossible not to look elegant in a garter, even if it was a pain in the arse to clip to your stockings! For these, check out Rara Avis, and Lounge Underwear.
3. Bustiers - For posing's sake, not a full length corset, but one that extends to the bottom of the rib cage or close by with a matching panty set. Bustiers give me all the vintage vibes and I'm really into it, especially when you incorporate gems or embroidery. My favorite brand for this is For Love and Lemons!
What's your favorite type of lingerie? Let me know in the comments!
